Who we are
We are proud to be the crazy dog lovers who skip out on work to transport dogs from all over the state to their excited fosters’ homes … who stay up late searching shelter pages for that next “Freedom Ride” potential …. who volunteer countless hours making rescue a reality!
Freedom Ride Rescue has two part-time staff members who work around the clock, volunteering more than their paid hours – the rest of the team are fully volunteering their time to help our rescue. We are all doing this while juggling our own lives, jobs and families … so bear with us as things may not move as quickly as an excited adopter wants! If you have energy, a love for animals and a little bit of time to spare, consider joining our team!
We are foster based: we have no facility and every one of our adoptable (and not quite ready to be adopted) animals are in homes where families are teaching trust, love, basic manners …. preparing your future dog ready to be the best addition to your family that he can be!
As fosters, we are willing to have our heart break after we love, rehabilitate and nurse an unwanted, unloved animal until they prance away with their fur-ever person – often never looking back – as they start their most life’s wonderful chapter: the one as a cherished pet.
So join our road to making freedom rides happen! We are a wonderful, tight-knit family needing volunteers, fosters, donors …. and people willing to care.
Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever.”
And maybe our children – or their children – will realize a no-kill state where rescues and fostering are unnecessary.
NON DISCRIMINATION POLICY
Freedom Ride Rescue does not discriminate in the terms, conditions, or privileges based on race, age, color, sex, national origin, physical or mental disability, or religion or otherwise as may be prohibited by federal and state law in regards to treatment of our volunteers and in selection of adopters for our animals.
